Ms. Krista Douglass has been named Principal of Clearwater Elementary

Ms. Douglass has been serving as school principal in IPS since 2019. Prior to her first principalship, she served as Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, and began her career in education as a teacher of kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grades in urban school settings. Principal Douglass attended Butler University earning a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. Education Administration.

In her career to date, Principal Douglass has been instrumental in implementing successful instructional coaching structures. She has also integrated mindfulness, restorative practices, and brain aligned strategies to improve the school culture.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to join the Clearwater Elementary team and to help build upon the success they are already experiencing,” said Principal Douglas. “I can’t wait to become a part of the Washington Township community, and I am very excited to get to know the students, staff, and families in the coming weeks!”
